I’m the doctor you go to when you need to be heard. I listen to your story and give you individualized, one-on-one attention. You’re not just a patient, you’re the MVP (most valuable player) in your health! I hope to join your team to work toward a common goal of optimal health, living your best life and stepping into your best YOU! Together, we can build a foundation that will not crumble when an illness comes your way. We can hold strong together. You’re not in this alone.
I am a licensed Naturopathic Physician providing individualized and evidence-based treatments for every patient. I earned my Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon. Before attending NUNM, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology.
Health and the human body’s amazing abilities have always fascinated me! I strongly believe in the power of human body to heal itself and actively engage you in your health care. We’re a team. I share my knowledge and experience of the science and art of the human body with you and you share your knowledge of YOUR body, spirit, emotions, and mind. We are all very different and our life experiences add to this diversity. Honor it. Together, we work together to pave a healthy, vibrant path we can both be proud of.
In order to support the body in achieving a healthy balance, I utilize the RIPPLE Effect which rejuvenates the foundations for a healthy, vibrant body:
The RIPPLE Effect utilizes combinations of naturopathic treatments, including botanical medicine (herbs), nutritional medicine (food choices, vitamins, minerals), and functional medicine tests and assessments. If necessary, I may suggest conventional medicines.
My true passion is the gut. I believe the key to influencing the body is to influence the gut. After all, the common proverb says “you are what you eat.” It all starts in the gut! I have extensive training and participated in a gastrointestinal mentorship with an emphasis on Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) with Dr. Steven Sandberg-Lewis. My clinical education also focused on hormones and women’s health.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy baking, crafting and exploring the outdoors. As an Oregon native, I appreciate the influence nature has on health and the importance of a balance between work and play. Some of my favorite activities include hiking, camping, skiing, beach combing at the Oregon Coast, paddle boarding, outrigger paddling, and exploring unpaved trails around Oregon.
